Born & Raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan;
New York's nightlife was right outside my front door.
It was common place for myself and other neighborhood
djs to setup in the park and play music well into
the summer nights. New magazines like Record World, Discothekin' &
IDRC's Spin along with writers like Vince Aletti, Brian Chin &
Larry Flick were shining the spotlight on DJs &
Discos near and far and I wanted to see and hear them all.
By 1979 and into the early 80's; I was a member of
INTERMETRO RECORD POOL. Dewayne Dixon; Intermetro's President & Director, introduced me to David Mancuso and I began working for David's legendary afterhours party at his Loft on 99 Prince Street.
My co-workers at "THE LOFT" included famed DJs David Rodriguez &
Nicky Siano. At this time; I was also a resident dj playing for the
Jetset crowd at many of New York Citys' best nightclubs like...
Club A, Regines, Area, Nell's, Magique, Surf Club, Big Kahuna,
21 Hudson, Zulu lounge, Le Mans(southampton),The Playboy Club,
Spodee Odee & Au Bar.
A decade later...I was a member of FOR THE RECORD,
The ALPHA record pool and a "Hitmaker" in the dance music indusrty.
During this period of the 1990's my nightclub residencies were...
Tatou, Supper Club, Atlantic Connection(Martha's Vineyard),
Izzy Bar, System, Global 33, Lot 61, Cream, Gaugin at the Plaza Hotel,
The Crane Club, Venue, Paragon(Miami), Expo, Lotus & Halo.
Today the Hot-Spots continue with...
Crash Mansion/Blvd, Carne Valle, TAO, Village Lantern, Tillman's,
49 Grove, Taj, Hudson Bar, HK lounge, Bar13 & Le Souk.
